Dell Comics promotion for various prizes in exchange for a combination of money and the top cover strips from Dell Comics. The combinations vary by the nature and value of the prizes. Quote: "Cut off the top strip of each Dell Comic cover. Be sure the strip includes the name of the comic and the new Dell Comics seal. When you have enough cover strips for the item(s) you want, put them in an envelope together with the required amount of money and the coupon at the right." Prizes displayed in the ad are: "Giant Space Map", "Kodak Brownie Bullet Camera", "Three Way Desk Set", "Giant Periscope", "Secret Pocket Wallet", "Shaggy Dog" (stuffed animal - not the Disney film version), "Secret Seal Ring", "Baseball Glove", "Teenage Pocketbook", "Yogi Bear Vinyl Squeeze Toy", "Set of Six Lifelike Dolls", and "Initialed Slave Bracelet". An illustration of a pair of scissors (apparently operating without the aid of human hands) is seen cutting-off the "Dell Comics top cover strip" of a copy of Woody Woodpecker (Dell, 1952 Series) #63 (October-November 1960). The ad covers both middle pages of the centerfold.

Contest run by Dell Comics, for which readers must "tell us in 25 words or less who your favorite DELL COMIC character is and why." Readers are further instructed to "cut off the top strips of two DELL COMIC covers. Be sure the strip includes the name of the comic and the new Dell Trade Mark." In a little bit of Dell Comics cross-promotion, the bottom of the page says: "See Center Pages for the Grand Opening of The Dell Trading Post!" Among the other prizes offered are 1375 subscriptions to Dell Comics. Between pages 2 and 3 of previous story.
