Story Featuring Superman

"You've all seen Superman weakened by green kryptonite."

Storyline

Brainiac travels to Earth to steal some aluminum and also to test his new ray on Superman, a ray which is combined Red and Green Kryptonite. The new ray makes Superman act strangely, forcing him to always wear a hat while performing super deeds.

Brainiac's iconic transistor/diodes make their first in-story appearance. Prior to this, they only appeared on the cover of Action Comics #242, also drawn by Curt Swan. (coincidence?)
