Storyline

While researching the origin of gargoyles for a class project, a student travels to a hidden valley in Tibet where he enters a huge stone cavern and meets Gorgolla (a gigantic stone gargoyle). Gorgolla explains that he and his army came to Earth from another world and have waited for centuries to strike and conquer humanity. He sends the signal, but is shocked when the gargoyles (his minions) come to Tibet and destroy him. The gargoyles explain they have become enamored by humanity and want to protect us, not conquer us.

Gorgolla's people are next seen, along with his father, in Astonishing Tales (Marvel, 1970 series) #22 (February 1974). Portions of this story are reprinted in that issue. While colored orange on the cover, Gorgolla is gray in the interior art. Gorgolla returns in Supernaturals #4 (1998).

A jewel thief ignores local superstitions to cross a haunted strait but finds that his disastrous voyage was only a dream when he wakes up with police at the door.

Storyline

A man travels to a frightening world of dreams and is attacked by dream beings. He discovers that the dream people believe his world is the source of nightmares and that its inhabitants are imaginary.

Storyline
