X-Plam comes from the future to marry Lois Lane. When he provides proof that they do get married on the next day, Lois decides she will marry him and return to the future with him.

X-Plam marries Lois Lane and then dies. This is not an imaginary story, so that makes Lois a widow in continuity, not that it's ever mentioned again. Bizarro is wearing the letter 'B' costume that he wore in the Superman Daily Comic Strip in 1958, and not his usual Superman 'S' (or backward 'S').

This comic book story was published just after a storyline that matched this one was published in the Superman daily newspaper comic strip (McClure Newspaper Syndicate) from July 9, 1959, to October 29, 1959. That comic strip storyline was written by Jerry Siegel with pencils by Curt Swan, and inks by Stan Kaye. This story was not a reprint of the comic strip one, but a reused concept. That comic strip was reprinted in "Superman the Silver Age Dailies" (The Library of American Comics, 2013).
