Colletta alterations on Ka-Zar per Nick Caputo, confirmed in an interview by Romita. In John Romita..And All That Jazz! Romita stated: "If you look at my first Daredevil cover, I didn't do half of those pen lines in Ka-Zar's arms and legs. Most of them were done by Vinnie Colletta." Franklin Colletta originally credited his father with inking the entire cover.

Storyline

Matt decides to take a cruise to get his mind off of Karen. After his cruise ship is boarded by pirates, Daredevil is taken to the Savage Land by the Plunderer. Ka-Zar attacks the Plunderer for trespassing on his domain and saves Daredevil's life as his costume reminds the savage lord of his encounter with the X-Men.

Ka-Zar’s most recent appearance was in X-Men (Marvel, 1964 series) #10. According to interviews with Romita, he pencilled the first two pages on his own and Kirby provided breakdowns from page 3 on.
