Storyline

To foil an alien race bent on destroying Earth, Superman has Supergirl become Mighty Maid and then they fake Superman marrying Mighty Maid and leaving Earth.

Credits from the Archives reprint. However, researcher Lee Semmens notes that this story is not listed in Binder's detailed list of his Action Superman stories, as given in Alter Ego #147, p.82, whereas the second, Supergirl, story for this issue is. He believes it is far more likely it was written by Jerry Siegel, as it reads like one of his stories and includes the exclamation "awp!" on page 2, panel 6, which is unique to Siegel among all the Superman "family" writers of this period.
