Kid Colt helps cattle-herders ambush a gang that demands payment to pass through their canyon.
A rancher worries about his son's lack of interest in cattle, but he discovers the boy expresses his love of the land through music.

Kid Colt helps some townsfolk catch bandits who are buying land from the Piute Indians.
"Grab the timbers and stay put!"
Kid Colt intervenes in a family feud which turns out to be based on a mistake.
When the sheriff leaves town to hunt an outlaw, his deputy proves his worth.

Kid Colt helps a marshal trying to arrest him fend off bandits, helping to convince the marshal that his warrant was mistaken.
