Storyline

Barney Bear gives nephews Fuzzy and Wuzzy tips on how to find a job, to no avail.

Pooling Their Resources to Fight Crime

Story Featuring Wuff, the Prairie Dog

"Whew! The desert heat is awful! What we need is a swimming pool!"

Storyline

In the unusually high desert heat, Wuff and Sammy dream of having a swimming pool. They receive a wanted poster offering a reward for the capture of The Armadillo Kid and devise a trap for the bandit, so they can buy a swimming pool with the reward money. Also suffering from the heat, Charlie Coyote gets the same idea but decides to lay back until Wuff and Sammy spring their trap, and then muscle-in on the reward. Ultimately, and unwittingly, Charlie plays a part in the capture of The Armadillo Kid, forcing Wuff and Sammy to find a safe way to share their new pool with the carnivorous coyote.

Storyline

Bertie and Billie try teaching their too-chubby Cousin Chubby to fly, but he can't seem to get off the ground, until spurred to action by the threat of Howard Hawk.

Storyline

On a snowy Thanksgiving Day, Tyke tries to hide Tom the Turkey from his master's axe.

"(Pant!) Seems like I should be able to (puff!) nab those pests!"

Storyline

To soothe his jangled nerves, Tom takes up knitting. Jerry and Tuffy find this quite curious and, armed with a book of "Cat Facts", begin an intensive study of Tom's behavior and physical characteristics - a process that drives peace-seeking Tom batty.

Story Notes

This ad for General Mills' Trix cereal presumably dates from when the cereal was a new product, predating its decades-tenured spokes-bunny the Trix Rabbit! The floating heads of five kids are drawn with curved puffs of Trix forming the smiles on their faces. At lower right is a photograph of a bowl of Trix cereal in milk, flanked by a box of Trix with nary a rabbit to be seen.
