The Pebble That Saved the World!
"The fate of the world may well hinge on the discovery of momentous things..."
Storyline
The Holliday Girls are privvy to viewing Diana's jewel case. Etta asks what a simple pebble is doing among such priceless gems, and is told the story of how that pebble saved the world. Mars, God of War, Lord Conquest and the Duke of Deception hatch a plan to scorch the Earth with a giant magnifying lens. Diana is captured and bound by her magic lasso. She is told to lift the lens and aim it at the Earth, but, in doing so, throws a pebble she had picked up at the hand of her binder and is released. It is then a small enough effort for her to destroy the lens.

Credits

- Inks: Bernard Sachs (uncertain)
Story Notes
Keith Chandler : Pencils were previusly credited to Bernard Sachs ?, but look more like the feature's regular artist Paul Reinman, with Sachs inks. When Reinman inks his own pencils he most often signs the work, but does not do so here.

Characters
- Lady Danger [Valerie Vaughn]
- Gary Grath

- Hart
Credits
- Pencils: Emil Gershwin
- Inks: Bernard Sachs
- Inks: Emil Gershwin
Story Notes
R. Gary Land submitted an error report that this was not Gershwin's work, but Gene Reed confirmed it was Gershwin, with the difference in the appearance in the artwork being due to that this was inked by Sachs and not by Gershwin (as we previously had). Keith Chandler : The reality is not quite so clear cut. Sachs certainly inks the face of Lady Danger, no doubt an attempt at visual consistency on the part of the editor, but the rest of the work has a much lighter, almost a Roy Crane touch.
