Ethan van Sciver and Tim Townsend signed the original art for the cover. The art was cropped and flipped for use, so their signature did not show.
Mutant fashion designer Jumbo Carnation is attacked by a gang and dies. His apparent murder causes dissension at Xavier's school, particularly among a group of students led by Quentin Quire, an Omega-level telepath.
