Bugs applies for a position of Elner's newspaper staff, so Bugs is given late editions to sell on the street corner. If Bugs succeeds in selling them all in 5 minutes, the job is his. Unfortunately, the headline was mis-printed, indicating the Mayor being chosen as head of an amatuer crooks' club!

Storyline

Porky calls the flower shop to order a nice potted plant for Petunia's birthday. But before it can be delivered, a jewel thief runs into the store and hides a famed stolen necklace in the pot. Petunia finds it and thinks that Porky has given her a nice imitation present. But when Porky discovers that the necklace is real and stolen, he has to find a way to get it away from Petunia and into the hands of the Police.

The Department of the Interior, Wildlife Division, is attempting to track ducks that they have been banded and how far they have traveled. Daffy, being bored silly and craving adventure and excitement, decides to band himself and call in his location from many different locations.

Storyline

Sniffles sees mary Jane walking along with her cameras, and he discovers she is out on a nature walk, trying to take as many candid shots of birds and animals as she can. Discovering that the creatures are afraid of her, Sniffles suggests that she shrink herself in size so that the animals and birds will not be afraid of her.

Taxi driver Bugs offers to drive Elmer home after Elmer purchases a new lamp and suit. However, it begins to sprinkle and then rain (the taxi was a convertible), so Bugs takes the lamp shade off the lamp and wraps Elmer in it to protect his new suit.
