Story Notes

When this story was reprinted in Batman Annual #1, the story was re-titled "Thrilling Escapes of Batman and Robin." This story was updated by writer Ed Herron in September of 1966 for the story "Two-Way Deathtrap" in Batman #166. TV producer Bill Dozier looked at this and other Batman tales for inspiration when he brought Batman to prime-time TV in 1966. Aunt Harriet was caught in the same type trap that ensnared Vikki Vale, Batman, and Robin on page 7 of this story for one of the TV shows.
