Storyline

An unknown force transforms three humans into elemental avatars of earth, water, and air, who begin a reign of destruction. The Justice League tracks their origins to Atlantis, where the team faces off against the ancient sorcerer Daanuth who is trying to raise the sunken city to the surface..

Garn Daanuth is the evil brother of the hero Arion in ancent Atlantis, apparently still alive in present times. Batman is no longer a member of the JLA, having resigned to join the Outsiders. (Batman and the Outsiders #1 is also on sale in April 1983.)
