Snake Lopez and the members of his gang are gunned down one by one by a phantom killer they never saw coming.

Seeing some gunmen planning to ambush a newcomer to town, Kid Colt defends him, which works out favorably when the stranger is later revealed to be an undercover marshal who has changed his mind about arresting the Kid.
