Storyline: A hulking man with a violent temper is able to somehow get rid of his shadow. This causes him to become more docile and less violent. However his shadow now has a life of its own and begins to kill.

Storyline: An ugly woman hates her three beautiful sisters. One night at an old inn, she discovers a secret room in the cellar that had belonged to witches. Studying the book of black magic she finds, she becomes a witch and casts spells killing her sisters until her own magic destroys her.

Storyline: The worlds greatest chess player is challenged and defeated by a supernatural being who uses real humans as chess pieces. It turns out the being is the great Talchev (the previous worlds greatest chess player), who came back from the dead as a ghoul. Because he used supernatural powers to cheat, Satan appears to take Talchev back to Hell with him.
