Story Featuring Tomahawk
Escaping from an ambush, Tomahawk and Dan flee up Wigwam Mountain, where the Indians won't follow because of the legends of wild men who live there. However, the legends turn out to be based on two fugitives from British injustice who have been hiding on the mountain for years.
Tomahawk and Dan race through many dangers to deliver an important message even though a flood washed away all their supplies and weapons.
Gray Beaver tells the boys of a time when trees could walk, until they angered the great god Manitou by their hostile behavior toward men.
When a British lawyer claims that Dan Hunter is the heir to a great fortune, Tomahawk suspects a crooked scheme, and works to find the real heir and expose the thieves.
